On 26 October 2023, the Spanish railway company Talgo granted CRISALION Mobility its Technological Innovation Award. The awards ceremony, in its twentieth edition this year, was held at the Madrid headquarters of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

The aim of this award, which carries a cash prize of 15,000 euros, is to promote cutting-edge and innovative projects in the sphere of mobility that help build a better future for all. At CRISALION Mobility the spotlight is on people. That is why we develop ground and air solutions designed to solve the problem of severe congestion in cities, improving proximity transport and creating an ecosystem aimed at reshaping urban mobility for private individuals and last-mile logistics alike.

The other finalists were the projects SOLUM, for parking and solar charging for light electric mobility vehicles, and Park4Dis, for managing parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.

The awards were presented by the Secretary of State for Transport, David Lucas; the Secretary General for Mobility, Inmaculada Rallo; the Secretary General for Innovation, Teresa Riesgo; the Secretary General for Vocational Training, Clara Sanz; and the President of Talgo, Carlos Palacio Oriol, who highlighted the hard work and innovative spirit of all this year’s participants.

In his opening speech at the ceremony, Carlos Palacio Oriol, President of Talgo, congratulated all this year’s participants and underscored the high standard of the projects presented: “Congratulations to all for having got this far, especially because the projects and profiles you have presented have once again pleasantly surprised us. Your standard of technical and professional expertise and personal development, are, once again, very high, and that spurs us to continue with these awards”.

This year a new award was added: the Talgo Award for Relevance of Women in Vocational Training, aimed at enhancing the visibility of women in Vocational Training. Under the slogan “Innovating in Society”, the Talgo Awards continue to be a social benchmark when it comes to promoting cutting-edge and disruptive projects and ideas in the field of technological innovation, especially in the mobility sector, while helping to eliminate barriers between men and women in industry.
